20th Annual NAPO Conference

NAPO Logo Today, I’m on my way to Reno for the 20th Annual NAPO Conference… so exciting! Tomorrow, I’ll spend my day in a training workshop in which I’ll learn more about the ins and outs of owning and operating a professional organizing business. Then Thursday, the conference will officially begin with an opening keynote address by none other than Peter Walsh! “I’m still geekin’ out about it!”
Training seminars, break-out sessions, product demonstrations, presentations, networking, hundreds of successful professional organizers… it’s sure to be overwhelming, yet exhilirating! In fact, I’ll get to schmooze and rub shoulders with some of the most renowned professional organizers in the industry!

By the time I return home, I’ll definitely have loads of new experiences and information to share with you!

Get Organized Month

In honor of the New Year, traditional New Year’s resolutions, and fresh new beginnings, the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) is sponsoring its fourth annual Get Organized MonthSM this January 2008.

Get Organized MonthSM is a national industry-wide event that is dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of getting organized and of hiring a professional organizer.

January is the perfect month to get organized and start your new year off right. Getting organized is one of the top 5 New Year’s resolutions people make and with almost 4,000 NAPO members ready and available to assist, it is easier than most people think. NAPO members will help over 10,000 people get organized during this month-long event.

The name is Michelle. The passion is organizing. The goal is simplicity.

I grew up in a rather well-organized home. Thanks to both my mother and grandmother, I’ve acquired an intuitive edge when it comes to organizing everything from time to business, and people to possessions. Before [ real neat ] became a reality, I worked in a variety of education, non-profit, and corporate environments—organization was the pervasive theme.

As odd as it may seem, organizing is really fun for me! I love to redesign and rework things to create better, more efficient systems for storing items and getting things done. My ultimate goal is to help you create real and lasting change in your life.

Together, we will customize my arsenal of organization strategies and techniques to work for you, not against you. In fact, we will use your current habits as a starting point. (It doesn’t make sense to set up an intricate filing system in the office if you never spend any time there!)

As a work-at-home mom and business owner, I know how important it is to your family’s well-being to get your home and life organized (and to keep them that way). Rest assured that any organizational system we put into place will be one that truly works for you and your family—one you can successfully maintain and even tweak as your family’s needs change.

I am an active member of both the National Association of Professional Organizers and Faithful Organizers. Through continuing education, I stay on top of our society’s changing organizing needs, trends, and methods.

Let me share my expertise with you to help create lasting, positive changes in your life!
